We are a family of four, leaving our home in Calgary (Alberta, Canada) and heading south for an extended stay in Latin America.
We’ll be looking for new experiences, new friends, business opportunities, and adventures.
This is the first time blogging for all of us, so bear with us while we get the hang of it!
I'm a big believer in bucket lists. Since I was a kid, mine has included travelling the world, learning languages, and writing about it all. I've been blessed to have many checkmarks on my list -- 40 countries and (roughly) four languages, and counting -- but I haven't done much public writing since I lived in Japan in the 1990s. This trip, our first odyssey with our children, presents an opportunity to revisit that old ideal. I hope that as we journey, I am inspired to add as many new boxes to my list as I get to check off. I plan to sample lots of coffee and wine along the way.

I'm a 13-year-old boy from Calgary traveling through Central and South America. Me and my sister are doing schoolwork online this year. We rented out our house, and now we're gone. I love to play sports, be active, and do anything that is fun.

I am a 50+ IT guy who loves to play sports and be active, occasionally breaking bones when I take Dirty Harry’s advice about a man needing to know his own limitations. I also like music, reading, learning, and traveling. I'll be working on learning new software and creating apps for my wife's editing business while we travel. I'll also be making sure the kids are keeping up with their distance learning and learning more in less time each day than they would back in school.

I am a 17-year-old girl who would rather have stayed in Calgary. The experience should fun, and it is, but as my dad has said over and over, "This is not a vacation." Anyway, I enjoy watching TV, writing, reading and making movies/shows. Probably one of the best things about the trip is that I can go swimming more than usual.
